Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most iconic sights in Sydney, popular around the world for its construction, size and view to the famous Opera House. When you research the Harbour Bridge online you will probably come across the Bridge Climb attraction first and if you are travelling on a budget that might be something a bit too pricey for you. Don’t worry, because you can actually walk the bridge for FREE – yes, and it’s quite an amazing walk!
Getting to the Harbour Bridge Walk
Once you are at Circular Quay it’s really easy to find the Harbour Bridge Walkway – just go in direction to the Rocks from the Cruise Terminal, just behind the Museum of Contemporary Art, walk a few corners and you will get to the stairs that take you on to the Harbour Bridge pedestrian side.
Walk the Harbour Bridge
Once you have reached the pedestrian side, an amazing view will come in front of your eyes – with Opera house on your right side and Luna Park Sydney on your left, simply spectacular.
On the northern side of Harbour Bridge is located the so called Milsons Point – a great spot to view the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the CBD from the other side. There is a nice green picnic area just under the bridge and you can bring your blanket and some snack. Grocery stores are a bit expensive in the area, so make sure to pack all the things you need. I guarantee you are going to have the time of your life! 😉
